Maggie is known as Scotland's Queen of Soul; she had great success as the founder member of Stone the Crows and later in her solo career on both sides of the Atlantic. After a twenty year break she has returned to music and will be accompanied by Dave Kelly after his own solo set. Dave’s slide guitar playing is legendary, having learned his trade recording with Howlin’ Wolf, John Lee Hooker, Buddy Guy and Junior Wells among others and he has been a member of The Blues Band for the past 28 years. The two stalwarts of the British R&B scene are lending their great voices, warmth and humour to the evening of acoustic classics. Their iconic pairing will be enhanced by the addition of the British Blues Quartet featuring Zoot Money, founder of the legendary Big Roll Band, Colin Hodgkinson, bass player with Alexis Korner, Spencer Davis and more recently Chris Rea, plus Miller Anderson the founder member of Keef Hartley Band, who has toured and recorded with Spencer Davis, Ian Hunter, T-Rex, Savoy Brown and Donovan. The musicians will unite their great reputations and fabulous voices for a review of soul and blues classics plus plenty of rock ‘n’ roll throughout the night.
