A Gesture that is Nothing But A Threat is a remarkable investigation of words, voice and sound in relation to the body, created and performed by Sofia Dias and Vitor Roriz, which was awarded the 2011 Priz Jardin d'Europe. The work achieves its distinct identity by questioning how choreography is created through creative physical labour, while at the same time opening up a poetic space for thought, emotions and sound. Leaping, hurled bodies, high velocity spirals and last minute catches driven by a pounding metallic soundtrack mark James Wilton's third choreographic work, Cave, which features two dancers from the Dance Company of Opera Graz, Sarah Jane Taylor and Wilton himself.
