Bernard Crabtree has had a unique and prestigious career as an entertainment manager in Blackpool. From his early years as an office boy for the old Palace Theatre to his present position of honorary vice-president of the Grand Theatre Trust, his career has spanned a total of seventy fascinating years. He has worked with some of the greatest stars of stage and circus through his work with the Blackpool Tower Company. In the early days of his retirement he was asked to help re-launch the Grand after it was saved from demolition. Barry Band has recently published his memoirs in That Was Showbiz Host Sammy Lee will reminisce with Bernard on the highlights of his very special career and the contribution he has made to Blackpool's rich theatrical heritage.
