Based on the life of Frances Burney the hugely successful novelist of her day. She was much admired by the young Jane Austen and a compulsive diarist with an astounding aural memory. The show includes accounts of the secret publication and overwhelming success of her first novel Evelina, her friendship with Dr Samuel Johnson, and her worm's eye view of the court of the ailing King George III.
