Stories of War is a haunting and powerful play set in the midst of a brutal African civil war. Written by one of Uganda's leading actors and playwrights, the production incorporates traditional African music, witchcraft effects and use of masks. The central character, Ashraf, experiences the reality of a world torn apart by civil war and peopled by brutalised men and women whose only ambition is to survive another day. The realisation of being that in this war, no one can stand aside.
