UKTW - 25 years online
CORONAVIRUS:All UK venues closed on 16th March 2020 and look like staying closed until March 2021 with the exception of a few, patchy, openings (and subsequent closures) towards the end of 2020. Some open-air, drive-in venues have been opened for periods and many shows are now streaming on-line. Sadly, some venues and shows may not survive. We are updating our listings as much as possible to reflect the changes as they are reported.

4 Steps to Heaven archiveA musical celebration of the four legends of rock 'n' roll - Buddy Holly, Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison and Eddie Cochran. Inspired by the title of Cochran's posthumous 1960 hit song '3 Steps to Heaven', 4 Steps to Heaven features a long play-list of classic songs from the 50's and 60's, including Presley's 'Hound Dog', 'All Shook Up' and 'Love Me Tender'; Holly's 'Heartbeat', 'Peggy Sue' and 'That'll Be the Day'; Orbison's 'Pretty Woman', 'Only the Lonely' and 'Blue Bayou'; and Cochran's 'Summertime Blues' and 'C'mon Everybody'. All four singers died prematurely: Orbison and Presley both died at the age of 42 of heart attacks, Holly was killed, aged 22, along with Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper in a plane crash while on tour in the American mid-West in 1959 and, the following year, Cochran died, aged 21, from injuries sustained from a car crash while on tour in England.
Performers Peter Howarth (Roy Orbison), Reuven Gershonn (Buddy Holly), Rebel Dean (Elvis), Kludo White (Eddie Cochran).
Director Keith Strachan. Design Andy Walmsley. Lighting Jim Beagley. Director James Compton (music). Company Bill Kenwright.
