BSO Benevolent Concert archiveThe BSO and their Young Conductor in Association Rui Pinheiro will begin this afternoon of musical delights with Dvorak’s rousing Carnival Overture. Peter Jablonski, the internationally acclaimed pianist, returns to Lighthouse with a favourite of performers and audiences alike, Grieg’s wonderfully melodic Piano Concerto. Saint-Saens’ dazzling Organ Symphony with its brilliant orchestration and sonorous splendour brings this popular annual fundraiser to an exhilarating conclusion. All artists participating in this concert are donating their services in aid of the BSO Benevolent Fund, which provides financial support to musicians in times of need.
