Details

Chess in Concert involves a romantic triangle between two players in a World Chess Championship, and the woman who manages one and falls in love with the other. Although the protagonists were not intended to represent any specific individuals, the characters' personalities are loosely based on those of Victor Korchnoi and Bobby Fischer. A special treat for musical fans is being laid on at Strode Theatre in Street, Somerset, on Sunday 17th January at 2.30pm with a special fundraising screening of the spectacular CHESS IN CONCERT, recorded live at the Albert Hall and introduced by the film’s director Hugh Wooldridge. After the screening you will be able to ask questions of the director Hugh Wooldridge and renowned West End choreographer Andrew Wright (a former member of Glastonbury & Street Musical Comedy Society).
