The origins of Fodens (Coutois) Band stretch back to 1900 and the Boer War, when it was formed in the village of Elworth to mark the relief of Mafeking. Since then the Band has enjoyed an illustrious career, achieving champion status in 1908, a position it has since maintained. Fodens' most recent successes include the title of European Champions in 1992, Swiss Open Champions on four occasions between 1990 and 1995. This is an opportunity to hear one of this country's foremost brass bands. All proceeds in aid of local blind. Fodens Band website.
