St David’s Foundation has been providing a ‘hospice at home service’ in Newport, Torfaen, Caerphilly and Monmouthshire for 30 years. Last year they cared for over 2,800 patients facing a life-threatening illness, along with providing continued support for their families and carers. At any one time their nurses are caring for around 960 patients. The service is provided free-of-charge to the patients and families but costs the organisation 5 million per year to run, and they have to rely on 80% of funds to come through voluntary donations. St David’s Foundation would not be able to maintain these vital services without the help of the local community, therefore your support is greatly appreciated
