The Morriston Phoenix Choir was formed in June 2007. Its founder members have many years of singing experience, particularly with the well know Morriston Orpheus Male Voice Choir, but wanted to explore a more modern approach to choral singing without abandoning the rich choral tradition of Welsh Male choirs. A core of members broke away to form a new choir whose feet whilst firmly rooted in the Welsh tradition including performances of favourites such as Myfanwy, Gwyr Harlech, Calon Lan and Cwn Rhondda, have expanded their repertoire by including modern classics by Queen, Westlife and Robbie Williams. All sung with feeling and passion for which Welsh male voice choirs are renowned. Wales' Newest Male Voice Choir presents its Inaugural Founders' Concert. This is a Fundraising Concert for the Choir.
