Philip Glass, one of the world's most popular and powerful living composers, is acclaimed for his soundtracks for the films Koyaanisqatsi and Powaqqatsi, and his sequence of ground-breaking operas. /There's always been a theatrical impulse to his music and he joined forces with Gambian Kora Master Foday Musa Suso to create the music for a production of Jean Genet's The Screens.
