Enjoy an evening of tranquillity with Trio Verso as they interpret and refocus the ideas behind the 1950s poetry and jazz movement for a 21st century audience. Fusing the award-winning poetry of Brian Johnstone with improvised jazz soundscapes on saxes, bass clarinet and double bass from Richard Ingham and Louise Major. They bring a whole new approach to poetry, setting it in the context of music that is atmospheric, haunting and rhythmically entertaining. This event is presented in association with Words 2010, North Lanarkshire Council's Festival of Books and Writing.
