On 8 May 1945 celebrations began around the world on what became VE Day - Victory in Europe Day. 70 years later, the end of war in Europe is marked with a spectacular evening of music performed by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra. The night will be hosted by Classic FM's John Suchet and Myleene Klass and will feature special guest performers Katherine Jenkins, Rebecca Ferguson and Wynne Evans, as well as a special appearance from members of Sir Winston Churchill's family. The concert will feature stunning music from iconic British composers including Edward Elgar's Nimrod, William Walton's Spitfire Prelude and Fugue, Eric Coates' Dambusters March and Gustav Holst's Jupiter, together with songs from the period including A Nightingale Sang In Berkeley Square and We'll Meet Again.
