Details

Batsheva Dance Company founded by Martha Graham in 1964, entered a new era in 1990 with the appointment of Israeli choreographer Ohad Naharin as Artistic Director. Naharin revolutionised dance in Israel, turning Batsheva performances into cult events and capturing new young audiences at home and abroad. Three continues Artistic Direcgtor Ohad Naharin's ongoing fascination with eht body and movement, using the company's astonishing physical style to full effect. Fusing elements of folk dance, martial arts and ballroom, the 17 dancers contort and shimmy, strike improbable balances and move with fearsome velocity to a diverse soundtrack that ranges from Bach's Goldberg Variations to the Beach Boys unabashedly joyous song You're Welcome, and an ethereal socre by Brian Eno.
