Alston Takes Cover is a unique project, developed in association with The Place, giving three choreographers the opportunity to create short ‘cover versions’ of Richard Alston’s Wildlife (1983). With their distinctive voices, choreographers Tony Adigun (Avant Garde Dance), Rachel Lopez de la Nieta (Dog Kennel Hill Project) and Moreno Solinas/ Igor Urzelai (BLOOM!), promise to produce surprising and unconventional takes on this Alston classic. Alston Takes Cover will be presented prior to Richard Alston at Home, and performed by dancers from EDge 12, London Contemporary Dance School’s postgraduate performance company.
