Akademi has been presenting Daredevas, a showcase for up and coming dancers around London and the United Kingdom. Daredevas features the brightest young talents in contemporary Indian dance. British based with International roots, these artists provide a fresh take on traditional Indian dance styles, showing a mixture of bold and adventurous choreographies. Three dancers and six different solo pieces. Akademi is the leading exponent of South Asian dance in the UK. These showcases provide an opportunity for each dancer to display their individuality, technique and dramatic skills. Each dancer is different and each solo piece is different, yet together they provide a whole evening of thrilling and compelling entertainment.
