Inspired by Milan Kundera's The Book of Laughter and Forgetting, Pas De CinQ seeks to portray a state of mind - fear, dread and chaos - that those held captive face in their indomitable search for freedom, IJAD use Arabic architectural structures merged with Japanese Butoh and contemporary dance to create a new language of movement that envelops the audience in a spectacular and emotive landscape. Preceded by a piece created with refugee communities in Barnet, this will be an inspiring and fascinating programme.
