Details

The event focuses on artistic and soulful renderings of much loved Arabian songs and graceful, elegant belly dance. The audience get to boogie in both halves of the program creating a fun, inclusive and richly diverse night out. The Arab Quarter returns to the Bloomsbury with The Call of Arabia, a vibrant new production with an extraordinary line-up celebrating oriental dance and music at the highest level. Featuring narration from actress Kay Francksen, music from The Arab Quarter Band including Bashir Abdel Aal (who played in Farid Al Atrash s orchestra) and Emile Bassili (who was a violinist with the legendary Umm Kulthoum).
