Since the 1960's, Trisha Brown has been one of the most influential choreographers in the world. Five Part Weather Invention is the first part of a trilogy which expresses Trisha's love for music. Working alongside New York artist Terry Winters and renowned jazz musician Dave Douglas, the dancers become part of jazz's free form as they follow the ups and downs, the dips and slides of the music. Twelve Ton Rose, has become a signature piece of the company and is set to music from Anton Werbern's Opus Nos 5 and 28. Rapture to Leon James is again set to an original score from Dave Douglas and is an affectionate look at the African-American social dancing of the 1930's.
