CORONAVIRUS: currently, all theatres and related venues are closed. Shows are either being cancelled, postponed or rescheduled and we are trying to keep up with all the changes. There are currently few changes after May 2020 and many shows that were due for April have been pushed back towards the end of Autumn. Pantomimes are looking like a safe bet at the moment ;-)

A fairy queen and king argue ruthlessly and the world turns upside down - and Puck - the fairy devil with a cheeky glimmer in his eye - doesn’t help. The mortal Kings and Queens play the parent card and deny their daughters the boyfriends of their choice. And Puck really doesn’t help. Bottom the Weaver is to perform in a play at the palace and play all the parts himself. He’s not a very good actor so that should be a laugh. Puck really, really doesn’t help. In fact, thanks to Puck, these young lovers give each other serious grief and the glamorous fairy queen falls in love with a donkey! Did you ever?! Really, grown-ups in love make such fools of themselves! With songs, puppets and knockabout humour Shakespeare’s story is faithfully adapted for a young audience losing none if its poetry, magic and beauty and, amazingly, is performed by just four actors. Author William Shakespeare. Company Shakespeare Unplugged. Adapted by Hattie Naylor. Director Lee Lyford.
