Originally written by Tolkien for his children, Farmer Giles of Ham tells the story of how a fat and red-bearded farmer is turned into a hero after accidentally scaring off a rather deaf and short-sighted giant. He then has to cope with the fierce dragon Chrysophylax. Age 7-12 years
