Michael's round-the-world sailing trip with his parents goes horrible wrong when he is swept overboard with his dog, Stella Artois. Washed up on a desert island in the Pacific, Michael struggles to survive on his own. He can't find food, he can't find water. In the end, he curls up to die. When he wakes, there is a plate beside him of fish and fruit, and a bowl of fresh water. He is not alone and Michael soon discovers that he is just at the beginning of a tremendous and extraordinary adventure!
