Paper puppets from a fading Victorian theatre come to life and their fortunes change for ever. Jack, the puppet, unhappy with the dull brown toy theatre, leaves his attic home for the bustling London street below in search of colour and adventure. Here he experiences the life of hawkers and traders and learns about Victorian life.
