Bullied at home, bullied at school, Billy Casper is an unhappy boy caught on the edge of growing up. When he finds a beautiful young kestrel, his world is turned upside down as he finds something to believe in for the first time. Kes shows him a world of freedom and peace - an escape from paper rounds and a broken home. But is it real? This touching musical brings to life the story of a young boy and his only friend in a harsh world.
