Twenty-five years ago David Kernan was the inspiration behind a revue of Stephen Sondheim's work. A budding young entrepreneur by the name of Cameron Mackintosh decided to bring it to London's Mermaid Theatre. It was called Side by Side by Sondheim. The rest is theatre history. Twenty-five years on Kernan is back with a new show celebrating Sondheim's 70th birthday.
