To delay the moment when the lights go off and it's time to sleep, Dylan tells his eccentric Aunt Clair a story of Duke Lordington's privateers - ruthless and horrible sea mercenaries who terrorise an isolated fishing village. The docile villagers despair and believe nothing can be done, but what if the bravest, most fearless Pirates to sail the seven seas come to their rescue? Dylan's tale conjures up a world of boisterous and daring pirates, strange places and spectacular battles but Aunt Clair wonders what Dylan's really trying to tell her.
