A piece of black comedy for actor and orchestra. The Embalmer is music theatre for solo actor. The dramatic and blackly comic story of the destruction of an individual, a marriage and an ideology. Alexei Miscin, the 'immortalist' is in charge of Lenin's preserved body, viewed daily by thousands. Miscin's wife is about to leave him and he's drinking too much. 'Lenin' is also starting to look the worse for wear... Performance time 1 hour 15 minutes (no interval).
