Foul mouthed Widow Flakey is named guardian of two of the Princesses Edna (who is soon to become Queen) and her little sister Ada after the King and Queen are locked in the royal kitchen's larder freezer and freeze to death. Edna is isolated and refuses to even contemplate a suitor. She has magical powers which put the kingdom in danger... Because her frustrations make her so angry she banishes herself high up in the mountains so she can live her life as a good spinster Queen. Ada joins forces with mountaineer Keith and his polar bear sidekick to find Queen Edna.
