All an Act is the new one-act play by the award-winning Sean Michael Welch about two friends who grew up together and narrowly escaped their troubled childhoods by taking off to clown school (and eventually the travelling circus) where they became Merkin and Petunia. But after one night of sexual indiscretion, their lifelong friendship is left hanging by a thread, a situation only made worse by his alcoholism and her reliance on a daily buffet of psycho-narcotics.
