Details

Basildon is about two ageing actors on the London Fringe, Granville Shakespeare and Leopold Swindon De Cock, who decide to supplement their meagre income by taking pornographic photographs of young Essex housewives for a new 'Gentlemen's magazine' called simply The Pereneum. Leo, always the brains behind such inventive schemes, while Granville is the one who ends up in prison, has also come up with the idea of a nice little sideline stealing copper from scrap-metal yards and selling it to the Chinese; a growing crime.
