Ellen: Her Triumphant Women archive1910. The celebrated Victorian actress Ellen Terry is about to begin a tour of America with her lectures on Shakespeare's Women when a Puckish stage manager entices her back into the dramatic scenes of her own life. Together they uncover the stories behind the performances and the parallels with her remarkable life and relationships. Drawing on her own words from her lectures and letters, Ellen: Her Triumphant Women reveals Ellen Terry herself through Shakespeare's feisty, troubled and sometimes triumphant women.
