CORONAVIRUS: All UK venues closed on 16th March 2020 but restrictions were lifted on 19th July 2021 with venues free to run shows to full capacity audiences after that though there are still issues with company members being forced to self-isolate on being 'pinged'. In September it is possible that a COVID vaccination certificate (or exemption) may be mandated for entry. Please note that iUKTDb archive listings between March 2020 and July 2021 may not be accurate as we did not receive details of all rescheduled and cancelled shows.
For twenty-eight years Sebastian and Lydia Cruttwell have endured a marriage of cold hearts and restrained emotions. Lydia is obsessed by her traumatic past and Sebastian is preoccupied with his failed writing career and permanently at odds with their son, Joey. In the last six months circumstances have forced a change of attitude, but in lives so long ruled by false fronts, and deceptions, the truth is not so easy to disclose. In the space of two evenings a rush of revelations puts them both to the ultimate test. In spite of everything, it looks as if love is about to triumph....Performers Robert Lindsay (Sebastian), Tara Fitzgerald (Lydia), Julian Wadham (Mark), Christopher Bonwell (Joey).
Author Terence Rattigan. Producer Theatre Royal Bath. Director Jonathan Church.
