The abandoned railway lines and derelict platforms of Hampshire form the backdrop for a story exploring our relationship to the past and future and the constantly changing nature of our hopes and dreams. 2015 A re-opened heritage railway station. Steam trains come and go. Liz lives in the past and believes in signs. When she receives an unexpected message, she is presented with the chance to live a life she rejected decades ago. 1994 A railway station facing closure. Catherine is eagerly waiting for her new life to begin. But an unexpected visitor forces her towards an unfamiliar destination and a future she did not anticipate.
