Details
This unique show tells Henry VIII's story in his own words, with the ghosts of his Queens, principal, courtiers and even his dog coming back to haunt him. Ken, the curator of a museum, is setting out a display of items from Tudor times for a lecture. The phone rings to say the lecturer is delayed, and can he entertain the audience in the meantime. Ken does his best, picking up some of the objects and trying to talk about them. Then he finds a hat that belonged to Wil Somers, the King's Jester and tries it on. Suddenly there is a noise from outside, and a magnificent King Henry VIII comes crashing into the room shouting for Wil and demanding a drink. Vividly entertaining with a mixture of high drama and low comedy, the show features two actors, a host of puppets, specially composed music and stunning historically accurate costumes.
