Promise Keepers, explores the pressures of being a man in modern society, based on a true story the play is centred on two main characters, Ice and Mention, who are leading a street gang called the 'Heartless Crew'. Mention is the main man and Ice is the second in command, both are feared and respected on the streets and Ice is notorious for his nerves of steel when faced with life threatening situations. The play goes on to show how hardened criminals become Christians - from crime to Christ. Promise Keepers challenges the stereotypical attitudes that men have been labelled with in society, and embraces the reality that no matter what you are and where you come from God can and will change your life if you give him a chance.
