Set in a small room inside a local library, a writers' group meets once a week. Surrounded by other group activities, including Dog Training Classes, Spiritualists and the town's Amateur Dramatic Society, the situation is far from ideal. The writers themselves are a mixed bunch, from a former Scots army major, to a retired council bin man, and the mix doesn't always result in harmony.
