CORONAVIRUS: All UK venues closed on 16th March 2020 but restrictions were lifted on 19th July 2021 with venues free to run shows to full capacity audiences after that though there are still issues with company members being forced to self-isolate on being 'pinged'. In September it is possible that a COVID vaccination certificate (or exemption) may be mandated for entry. Please note that iUKTDb archive listings between March 2020 and July 2021 may not be accurate as we did not receive details of all rescheduled and cancelled shows.
Farcical goings-on at Merton-cum-Middlewick vicarage. What happens when a vicar goes away, leaving his ex-actress wife to entertain a former colleague who has to dress up in her husband's clothes, and they're spotted by a nosy parishioner who reads too much into what she sees? And when the wife's uncle, a bishop, mistakes the colleague for her husband, and an escaped prisoner breaks into the house and also dresses up as a reverend, will the real vicar be able to disentagle fact from farce on his return?Performers Jo Stone-Fewings, Benjamin Whitrow, Hattie Morahan, Julie Legrand, Simon Wilson, Nicholas Blane, Adrian Fear, Chris MacDonnell, Natalie Grady.
