A bleak, hallucinatory and darkly funny look at the consequences of Australia's border panic. Slow Falling Bird tracks the conjoined fates of Middle Eastern refugees and their prison guards at Woomera, an immigration destination centre in the "arsehole of nowhere" -the Australian desert.
