Stranded archiveAt a dinner party in 1997 Artistic Director Grainne Byrne was recommended the play 'Crime of Goats Island'. Written in t he style of a legal investigation by Italian playwright and judge Ugo Betti, it proved to be the perfect raw material for this dynamic production. Using Scarlet's own brand of vibrant imaginative theatre, dark humour and meticulously observed characterisation, this powerful parable explores the cruel consequences of a scramble for love by three women who live together on the respectable side of poor.
