Sweeney Todd archiveBenjamin Barker is falsely convicted of a crime and transported for life. He escapes and returns to London where he vows vengance on the Judge and the Beadle who set him up and packed him off so that they could have his wife. What he finds is that the Judge has taken in his daughter as his ward and now seeks to marry her. To exact his revenge he re-establishes his old barber business under the name of Sweeney Todd and plots to kill the Beadle and Judge, but he is recognised and despatches his blackmailer. Then he and Lovett have to decide what to do with the body ... Lovett's pie shop is not doing well, what with the price of meat, so she comes up with a cunning little plan. In the end, there are no winners in Fleet Street.
