Peter and Eloise are a successful couple waiting to be interviewed for a current affairs programme about their growing international shipping empire. 1871 - With the hotel newly built and electrical lighting yet to be installed, Emperor Napoleon III (Charles) and his wife Eugenie seek refuge at the Langham whilst in exile from France.
