Holstenwall. A sleepy provincial town, where Franzis Gruber, a lowly bureaucrat lives a neat and ordered life. When a travelling fair arrives, full of clowns, freaks, magicians and sleepwalkers, it brings with it chaos and disorder, plunging Franzis and the town into a series of nightmarish murders. World Premiere. A beautifully written new play, partly developed in Chipping Norton by the fabulously inventive theatre makers behind The Four Stages of Cruelty. Live music, simple yet beautiful costume and set, and brilliantly inventive physical images come together in this colourful new piece inspired by the cult silent film of the same name.
