Based on the short story by Ivan Turgenev. The young Turgenev catches a cold whilst our shooting and seeks refuge in a tavern. He is visited by a talkative and intense local doctor who seems anxious to get something off his chest...It's a hard life, trying to cure people. Sometimes you're fumbling in the dark. Sometimes you end up prescribing, and even administering the most dangerous drug of all...love.
