Headmaster Godfrey Pond and his staff are happy to be back at Hilary Hall after wartime evacuation - but not for long! Much to their horror, they are descended upon by mistresses and girls from St. Swithins School, who need temporary accommodation. Result - chaos, helped along by kids' pranks, and the untimely arrival of two sets of parents.
