The Seven White Maks of Scaramouche Jones archiveIt's 11pm on 31st December 1999 - Millennium Eve. A 99 year old Clown has given his last performance and retired to his dressing room to disrobe. As he waits alone for the stroke of midnight, reflecting on the bizarre fortunes of his long life, he makes his final confession: a stripping away of his many comic guises, a peeling back of countless encrusted layers of habit and experience, a strange unmasking to reveal the heart buried deep within. Through his tale of exile, of the yearning quest for his unknown father, of his lifelong search for a homeland, this quirky, poignant story emerges as a playful homage to the departing 20th century, through the eyes of a Clown.
