A dinner featuring a widow and her two former classmates makes for an evening of revelation, revenge and redemption. The 70/70 project celebrates the 70th birthday of Israel Horovitz. Barefoot Theatre Company leads over 50 theatre companies from around the world in this festival including The Byre Theatre, representing Scotland. Over three days actors will explore and present rehearsed readings of Horovitz’s most controversial play: The Widows Blind Date. The open rehearsed reading process is a unique opportunity to observe professional actors work with a script to take it to the stage of a rehearsed reading. The icing on the cake is that Israel Horovitz will be join us to provide a special insight into the strong themes that dominate this intricate, complicated, and violent murder-mystery.
