UKTW - 25 years online
CORONAVIRUS: All UK venues closed on 16th March 2020, work is underway to re-open safely. Some venues are showing on-line productions or outside productions - even a few covid safe internal ones and a number of tours and shows have been rescheduled for later in 2020 and throughout 2021. We are updating our listings as much as possible to reflect the changes as they are reported.

Toast archiveOriginally produced as part of the Theatre Machine's New Writing Workshops, 1997. It's 1975; the Sunday night shift in a Yorkshire bread factory. Seven men come together to bake enough bread to feed the entire population of Hull. It's just another Sunday. Nellie's so worn down from a lifetime of bread making he loses his vest in the dough; the First Over Man's on a promise; the oven's are cranked up and the wholemeal is pleasingly large going in . But there's a spanner in the works which threatens bread production in Hull for good and life as they know it for the men on the shift.
Performers Matthew Kelly, Simon Greenall, Will Barton, Steve Nicolson, Finlay Robertson, Matt Sutton, John Wark.
Author Richard Bean. Producer Snapdragon Productions (in association with Park Theatre). Director Eleanor Rhode. Design James Turner. Lighting Mike Robertson. Sound Max Pappenheim. Costume Holly Rose Henshaw.
