Set in nineteenth-century Ireland, the story focuses on the arrival of British Soldiers to a small Gaelic Community. Their mission is to perform an ordinance survey but the language barrier leads them to problems. Gaelic place names get replaced with English ones causing conflict and misunderstanding with the local people.
