Twilight Song archiveA story of unrequited Love spanning decades. Rose is an elderly lady who cannot manage on her own. Her daughter Sue reluctantly decides to place her in a Residential Home. The play unfolds to portray with poignancy and humour, both Rose's adjustment to her new home, and Sue and her son Gary's unenviable task of clearing the old lady's home. Family memories and long forgotten incidents are unearthed and re-examined amid the possessions of over sixty years. In particular, Rose's collection of musical recordings, which start to tell an intriguing story of their own. Rose is suddenly taken ill, and Sue and Gary called to her bedside. Meanwhile, the events of a particular day in 1954 are being re-played at Rose's house. Is it possible that in her semi-conscious state from her bed in the present day, Rose can alter the actions she took in the heat of the moment over forty years ago, and change the course of her life and the lives of others for the better? This is a thought provoking and sometimes humorous theatrical exploration into the possibility of human willpower and endurance overcoming Fate......
